Boiler and heating system powerflush
Lower gas bills and properly hot radiators
If your boiler is working at full power but the bottoms of the radiators stay cold, or your home doesn’t warm up the way it used to, the cause is black sludge and rust building up in the system. Water circulating for years leaves a thick layer of deposits inside radiators and pipes. These blockages slow the flow of water, strain the boiler pump and make your gas meter spin faster even though the house isn’t warming up.
How a system powerflush works:
- Cleaned in place, nothing removed: The radiators stay where they are — a special compressor flushing unit is connected under the boiler or at the manifold.
- Pressure flushing: Each radiator is flushed one by one with pulses of air and water until all the sludge is gone.
- Protective inhibitor: Once flushing is complete, a special inhibitor can be added to protect the system against future corrosion and deposits.
- Bleeding and balancing: The system is refilled with clean water, bled of air and balanced so every radiator heats evenly.
Right after a powerflush you will clearly feel the difference in your radiators, and your gas consumption will fall naturally.
